C.C. Sabathia

Immediately after C.C. was given  the Cy Young  award in '07 ,I took to Beckett marketplace to snag up  his rookie card.He was already lighting up the league years before that '07 season and I had taken notice.In fact ,C.C. won 17 games In his rookie season, coming In second in the ROY voting.Some guy named Ichiro took the league by storm that  year and won the honors.Still ,Sabathia was and has been  quite effective over his 17 year  span of  Major League service.Tonight he'll have his hands full.Here's to another solid start from Sabathia!Go git em' C.C.

I recently picked up another Thurman Thomas card,and now I'm up to three!Of his rookie cards,this Is the one I love the most.His Pro Set rookie gets  nostalgia points because I used to have one as a kid,but this one just looks so damn pretty.A geared up , war ready Thomas ,helmet close by  with a blurred out green field In the background make this a personal favorite.Plus ya gotta love the simple but effective card design .I had alot of 1989 Topps Football cards as a kid but never pulled the Thomas rookie.

Moving forward,here are a couple of recent pick ups.These three guys I'll be collecting a lot of. Probably none of the high end stuff but most of their domestic releases yes.I hope Puig can lighten up a bit this year and stick to what he does best ,and that's crushing the baseball. Cespedes I think Is poised to have a big season In '15.Lots of doubles of that Green Monster. Abreu Is a tough  call ,having only one year under his belt.He should be fine,though.
