Donruss Football 50 Card Box

Nope,no Ezekial or Dak yet :(  In fact,these 50 card boxes are light on rookies and heavy on inserts .I did manage to pull a Rookie Phenom Jersey card but nobody special.

I really love this Marino!So true to the 87 Donruss cards of way back,they even botched the centering!Jokes aside ,this really Is a great card.Probably my favorite out of the box.

Marisa Miller Is a Victoria's Secret model/actress/fan of the game (apparently). I'm not a huge fan of non athletes adorning sports related cardboard but I kind of like these cards.They have gold foil border that looks better In hand than in this pic. 

Kevin Hogan got a little playing time a few weeks back for the ailing Cleveland Browns and led the team   In rushing with 104 yards.That's pretty much the highlight of his 2016 season.He projects to be a great back up with starter potential down the road.  

I think there are 200 Rated Rookies In this set so my chances of pulling ones I want will be slim with these 50 card boxes.They yield only two Rated Rookies  and a couple of base rookies ,that's It.The 16 card packs have three Rated Rookies  each plus some base Rookies.I'm sticking to those.

I finally got around to adding Zekes and Dak to my small but growing football card player collections.They aren't the Donruss  Rated Rookies I've been on the hunt for ,but will do for now.In fact these are the cheapest Elliott and Prescott rookie cards   you'll find In most places including eBay.Both go for about 3 bucks a piece.Both cards are pretty bland representations of  the two Dallas Cowboys phenoms. 

I don't mind them In their college unis but I'd much rather have them In their Cowboys gear.

On The Hunt For Dak & Ezekial

I'm still trying to pull 2016 Rated Rookie cards of  Dak Prescott and Ezekial Elliott.I don't have a disposable income that would allow me to achieve this with a simple box break.I go the route I went as a kid  ,buying packs here and there.To me the reward is even bigger because of the odds. Ebay will be my last resort. The other day while out picking up some pet supplies for our new German Shepherd pup  ,I stumbled across the last two packs of 2016 Donruss and one straggling 52 card pack of Score football.No Dak or Ezekial,but a nice sneak peak at Score and some ok Donruss 2016 cards.

I haven't picked up a pack of Score anything since  1989 ,when It was only couple years old.And that was baseball. Their NFL cards have been out for a while now but this Is my first pack.They're decent looking cards  that get the limited foil treatment,but limited ca be a good thing.In this case It's just a couple of subtle lines above and underneath the players name,team and position.  

Score wouldn't be Score without the player photo on the backside ,even If It's the same as the pic on the front.  

Dang!I thought Karlos Williams would play a part In the Bills future running game,maybe even become their primary back.He's  been released by the Bills picked up by the Raiders and Is now serving a suspension.

This time around the Donruss packs yielded a little less than the first three I picked up a while back.I really dig the Bo Jackson,though.Such a nice card.Love the grey and black.
