Sorry About The Lack Of Posts...

Between spring cleaning,yard work,daughters little league softball, middle school track meets  and high school softball games ,I've had little time to sit at my PC and blog about anything hobby related.I've also got two  action figure blogs that are feeling the subsequent lack of attention as well.Now that I've got a few minutes of free time,I thought I'd show a little love to 1987 Donruss.I bought a box on the cheap years ago In hopes of pulling a Bo Jackson but to no avail.I did ,however,get some decent Rated Rookies and base star cards.Below are a few of my favs !

Kenji's Korner

Remember when I mentioned how much I loved Kenji's trademark pose on most of his earlier released baseball kards?Well here are a kouple more examples!Kenji kould have killed the league had he remained healthy and In the states a little longer.I'm konvinced of It!

Favorite Card Of The Day!

I had to go with this one for obvious reasons.The Dark Knight came back strong In spring training and It's carried over to his first start of the season.He went 6 strong with 9 k's and no runs against the Nats today,resulting In the win! Go git em' Matty ;)

2015 Donruss

 I love It when I drop a couple bucks on a pack of cards that yields cards of players that I actually want!Such has been the case with these '15 Donruss  "30 card"  packs at Wal Mart.I really,really love what Donruss has done the last couple of years,more so this year.I've picked up three of these rack packs and not one double yet!I haven't felt this way about a card product since 2006 Topps Turkey Red.The addition of team logos would put this line over the top in my opinion.The base cards are super glossy and bright showcasing each player in their new digs for 2015.No boring head shots either,just action shots after action shots.I was never a big fan of inserts and maybe Topps has alot to do with that.They kind of over do It with inserts showcasing  events and first pitches.That kind of thing never really appealed to me. Donruss's inserts seem more like a whole different product (quality product),so it keeps things fresh.I want more!

A Package From Junior Junkie

A couple of weeks back,Junior Junkie had to take out a small loan in order to cover his post office expenses , mailing out packages to the entire baseball card blogosphere.It makes you wonder If post offices should start offering discount shipping on multiple parcels.Buy one - mail one free coupons would be nice.If anybody deserves It,It's Junior Junkie.Thanks to him,I am now well over ,or at least inching closer to  the 150 Canseco card mark!I also received a nice Cespedes Refractor and Serial Numbered Bowman Platinum Reyes!Thanks alot Junior,I'll be setting a couple things aside for you as soon as get the chance ;) BTW-Loved the artwork on the other side of the padded envelope!
