2015 Donruss

I love It when I drop a couple bucks on a pack of cards that yields cards of players that I actually want!Such has been the case with these '15 Donruss  "30 card"  packs at Wal Mart.I really, really love what Donruss has done the last couple of years, more so this year.I've picked up three of these rack packs and not one double yet!I haven't felt this way about a card product since 2006 Topps Turkey Red.The addition of team logos would put this line over the top in my opinion. The base cards are super glossy and bright showcasing each player in their new digs for 2015.No boring head shots either, just action shots after action shots.I was never a big fan of inserts and maybe Topps has alot to do with that. They kind of over do It with inserts showcasing  events and first pitches. That kind of thing never really appealed to me. Donruss's inserts seem more like a whole different product (quality product),so it keeps things fresh.I want more!

SCORE!Altuve Is a little beast!

I'm not a big Rollins fan,but It Is cool to see him in Dodger blue.

D Wright!

The green on this card pops!To me Rickey will always be an A

My first Kris Bryant!

I love the revival of "The Rookies"  and the fact that the logo hasn't changed.

Score!J-Bru!

Love the looks of  the Diamond Kings this year.Very classy!

Singles Only

I think of Tim Meadows from The Ladies Man every time I look at the title of these posts.

Moving forward, here are a couple of recent pick ups. These three guys I'll be collecting a lot of. Probably none of the high end stuff but most of their domestic releases yes.I hope Puig can lighten up a bit this year and stick to what he does best ,and that's crushing the baseball. Cespedes I think Is poised to have a big season In '15.Lots of doubles of that Green Monster. Abreu Is a tough  call ,having only one year under his belt.He should be fine, though.

Singles Only

I'll be making this a recurring post, showing you recent singles acquired via eBay or  purchased packs.I'll start this off with a couple new d'Arnaud's and a Juan Lagares. If you haven't gotten the chance to watch this kid (Lagares) play CF ,do yourself a favor and put It on your "to do" list. He's a combination of Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones with the glove, and his hitting Is slowly starting to come around.

The Den Dekker I pulled from a  2014 Topps pack .He's another nice little glove out there In center. And he's got a really cool name.

This Guerrero Is  another  pack pulled card and from my understanding, the Dodgers are pretty high on this guy.At 28 years of age,Alex's years are numbered In the Majors although he may be able to contribute some ,come the 2015 season.

Michael Wacha Is a beast, and I must say that It felt good to pull a Topps Future Stars card again after what,25 years?I feel like his last name should be inside of  a comic book action bubble.

This one came from eBay.Jose Abreu will be another guy who's cards I will be looking out for ,actively.
